Location: This position is Santa Fe, NM based and is remote/ hybrid-eligible.
As the Editor for the Marketing Production team, you are one of our chief storytellers. You’ll spend your days working in partnership with the Director of Production, Producers, Marketing, and Exhibition Content team(s) to craft captivating, often subversive video that lures unwitting viewers into the Meow Wolf multiverse. You’ll need to tap into your creative problem solving skills to balance marketing needs with making entertaining and fun-to-watch video content on traditional media, event spaces, and social media platforms.
As an essential part of the Marketing Production team you will be involved with the entire post-production process not limited to the design, edit, and delivery of all sorts of video projects. We’d love it if your editing experience includes Adobe Suite (After Effects, Premiere, etc.). Experience with motion graphics, 3D animation, motion graphics, or compositing are a major plus.

As an editor for the Meow Wolf Marketing Production team, your storytelling sensibilities will help transform marketing videos into compelling, fun, subversive, must-watch glimpses of what’s in store for potential visitors to the Meow Wolf multiverse.
How you will do it…
  • Work closely with the Director of Production, Producers, and Exhibition Content team to satisfy post-production needs for Meow Wolf Marketing projects.
  • Shape our creative editorial, visual effects compositing, motion graphics, and animation of media content as required using a variety of industry-standard tools, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Audition, and Media Encoder.
  • Edit and deliver all content on time and on budget.
  • Communicate with all relevant departments and stakeholders.
  • Oversee the security, operation, and maintenance of equipment and media utilized in Meow Wolf Marketing’s production workflow.
  • Support and help establish a post-production workflow and pipeline guidelines to edit and deliver final content in required formats for Meow Wolf Marketing.
  • Collaborate with other team members to maintain a vibrant and cohesive production process and environment.
  • Perform additional duties as directed or required.
  • Ensure technical quality of the end product.
To be successful in this role…
  • Must have proficiency in all phases of post-production and editing with a minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience
  • Must be receptive to creative direction and perform well within a team environment
  • Experience being part of a team of interdisciplinary people
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a sense of humor
  • Adaptable to changing needs and possess the ability to take on new tasks
  • Background in both commercial and artistic forms of editing.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and make solution-driven decisions in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to handle sensitive tasks accurately and confidentially
  • A thorough knowledge of cinematic language and narrative structure
  • Self-motivated, self-managing, and patient with yourself and others
  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to adhere to tight schedules with minimal supervision and work well under pressure
  • Live action production experience
  • Audio post-production experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
It would be nice to have…
  • Experience sharing work and status updates with Frame.io and Asana
  • Must have a minimum of 1-3 years experience working in compositing, animation, and motion graphics
  • Thorough working knowledge of VFX, 2D compositing software, and related pipeline workflows
  • Experience with Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer, Audition, Pro Tools, Character Animator and Nuke
  • 3D animation and integration skills

  • This is a full time position and schedules are based on business needs.
