Marketing Designer

Watershed is seeking a talented and self-motivated Marketing Designer to join our rapidly growing team. In this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to collaborate with entrepreneurs, using your graphic design skills to elevate our company presence. Your creative vision and expertise will play a vital role in shaping the visual identity and communication materials of our brand.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain design guidelines and brand standards to ensure consistency across different projects
• Deliver high-quality design assets within designated timelines and project constraints
• Incorporate feedback from the team and team leadership, and iterate designs to meet project objectives.
• Stay updated with design trends and industry best practices, bringing innovative ideas and fresh perspectives to the team
• Create captivating visual assets, including logos, branding materials, marketing collateral, presentation decks, and digital and print media
• Collaborate closely with our interdisciplinary scientific and engineering teams in a cross-functional setting to understand business requirements and user needs, and translate them into exceptional front-end designs

Qualifications

• Strong portfolio of previous graphic design work demonstrating a solid understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout composition
• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics, composition, and visual storytelling
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate design concepts and ideas
• BS/BA in a design or design-related field, marketing design, or similar
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while adhering to project deadlines
• Familiarity with entrepreneurship or startup culture is a plus
• 0-2 years relevant experience in graphic design, marketing design, or a similar field, with a focus on branding, marketing materials, and visual communication
• High level of competency in graphic design tools such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator, or similar software
