Job Description
IDEXX Water conceptualizes, develops, manufactures, and sells fast, easy, and accurate water microbiology tests. Our water microbiology tests are used to monitor water quality for over 2.5 billion people globally every day. Whether it’s ensuring clean drinking water or protecting the environment by testing wastewater effluent, IDEXX Water is a key player in achieving a safe and healthy water cycle.
As Marketing Associate, you will contribute to this purpose by helping promote the use of IDEXX tests for premise plumbing pathogens. Premise plumbing pathogens such as Legionella pneumophila and Pseudomonas aeruginosa are contributing to increases in waterborne disease worldwide. IDEXX Water tests significantly improve the workflow and accuracy of testing for these pathogens in public and private laboratories around the world. You will drive awareness and adoption of these tests globally by supporting marketing and regulatory initiatives.
How You Will Make An Impact
  • Support the development of materials and campaigns that encourage and support microbiology laboratories to become accredited in IDEXX methodologies
  • Support and deepen our relationships with key opinion leaders from around the world and their engagement in the development of global public health practices and regulations
  • Review marketing and sales metrics to identify improvements to our marketing programs
  • Support the execution of our voice of customer and market research programs, and identify and execute improvements to these programs
  • Support the design and execution of strategic marketing initiatives in regions around the world
  • Use a variety of research methodologies to understand the market for testing water for premise plumbing pathogens in regions around the world
  • Support the development of complex marketing materials for expert water microbiology audiences
  • Support the development of sales materials for use by our global sales teams and distributors
What You Need To Succeed
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (i.e., Biology, Engineering, Business, Marketing, Political Science, etc.); or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and develop both internal and external relationships to advance business goals
  • Intellectual curiosity; experience and interest in solving complex problems
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and during both formal and informal presentations
  • Ability to understand and synthesize complex scientific, technical and regulatory materials
  • Understanding of strategic marketing principles
  • Ability to be self-directed; demonstrated experience independently identifying opportunities and proposing and executing solutions in a collaborative environment
Preferred Capabilities
  • Experience presenting complex scientific or technical subjects at conferences or tradeshows
  • Understanding of and experience working with global regulatory agencies
  • Ability to communicate in writing and in conversation in at least one foreign language
  • Understanding of and experience with digital marketing campaigns and technology
  • Understanding of and experience working with global accreditation and standards bodies
Position Location
  • This is a hybrid role, expected to be in-person 1-2 days per week at our new facility in The Downs, a new commercial and residential development located in Scarborough, ME
