Job Description
We are seeking a Manufacturing Shift Supervisor to support [insert companys industry] in [insert job location].

Job Summary:


The companys Adhesive Technologies help to transform entire industries and provide our customers with a competitive advantage through adhesives, sealants and functional coatings.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Continues to support and build upon a “Quality Comes First” attitude within their departments.
  • Supports 5S, Clean, Safe working environment, and audits for success.
  • Ensure staffing is thoroughly trained in the operations they are performing.
  • Identifies areas where cost, quality, reduced lead-times can be reduced to aid in machine utilization, lower scrap, labor efficiencies, etc.
  • Plays an active role in various programs.
  • Grows Coordinators in leadership activities and builds a communication path that is open and honest through coaching, mentoring, or training.
  • Builds open communications with all assigned employees, and takes action to resolve issues, or brings forward to site leadership team.
  • Establishes work plan and staffing levels to meet changing business needs.
  • Supports a safe workplace environment.


Requirements


Education:


Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school (required)


Required:


  • 4 – 6 years of direct supervisory experience.
  • Possess the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, displaying strong communication skills.
  • Possesses proven coaching and people development capabilities.
  • Prior leadership experience in the manufacturing environment


Preferred:


  • Experience with SAP or similar MRP/ERP systems
