We are working with our client Poly Labs in seeking a Manufacturing Projects Manager, to be based in Lewiston Maine.



Requirements of the Manufacturing Projects Manager:

  • Self-starter able to work with a minimum of supervision
  • Experience working on Department of Defense contract work
  • Experience managing large complex building or equipment installation or upgrade projects
  • BS Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical, manufacturing or industrial engineering preferred, industrial equipment installations
  • ITAR hiring requirements, (US Citizen, permanent resident or refugee/asylee)
  • Ability to commute to Lewiston on Monday through Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm.
  • Extensive experience in Program and Project Management

Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Projects Manager:

  • Interact with Supply Change Management, Finance, and Production departments
  • Work with development engineers to create robust operational processes for new equipment, processes, products, materials and alloys.
  • Manages capital equipment sourcing and budget generation.
  • Oversee DOD related status reports and presentations.
  • Manages customer expectations and deliverables. Documents project results and communicate status to customers and management.
  • Effectively manages the job completion process and ensures technology is functioning properly and in accordance with scope of work.
  • Manages changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Prepare proposals and estimates cost of requirements and manufacturing resources
  • Plan and manage DOD projects with input from all departments.
  • Independently manages multiple projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Work Closely with the Senior Engineering Manager and Chief Executive Officer
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with equipment manufacturers, vendors and other third parties.
  • Develops and maintains comprehensive project documentation.
