Manufacturing Process Engineer Jobs

SUMMARY:

The Manufacturing Engineer will use engineering principles to design, procure, install and validate manufacturing processes at automotive seating plant. Analyzes and plans for labor utilization, equipment requirements, workflow, manufacturing space requirements and layout for maximum efficiency.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

• Monitor Controls Systems for operability, develop and implement reaction plans for various system failures
• Process labor planning & line balance
• Recommends changes to the manufacturing processes methods and procedures to upgrade quality and quantity of products and/or line operating efficiencies.
• Process flow
• Facilities requirement definition
• The manufacturing engineer will study individual and group jobs to determine the most efficient method of performing the jobs.
• Shop floor controls systems
• Recommend rearrangements of workstations, production lines, and modifications in equipment and materials to improve plant performance.
• Development of manufacturing processes by completing detailed engineering analysis of:
• Design for assembly
• Ergonomic analysis, workstation planning
• Plant layout
• Design measured work systems to determine and control assigned manpower and labor costs by doing the following:
• Build manifest definition
• Andon/Plant visual management
• Process failure mode and effect analysis
• Material flow planning
• Determine the most efficient combination of material, process and machine to produce parts.
• Logistics and contingency planning

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with automation equipment a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
• Familiarity with APQP, Work Instructions, PFMEA, and control plans desired
