MANUFACTURING ENGINEER (Remanufacturing)
The Manufacturing Engineer for Remanufacturing is responsible for implementing, monitoring, improving, and supporting new and existing processes in their area of focus.
What you will contribute to the team:
- Developing new and improved manufacturing processes for remanufacturing by studying product requirements
- Identifying, procuring, and approving necessary tools and equipment required to sustain flexible remanufacturing processes.
- Participating in commissioning and new product launch activities.
- Driving and monitoring continuous process improvement, and managing the numbering of equipment, documentation, and IT system integration in the facility
- Promoting and facilitating effective communication with plant leadership regarding the status of the projects.
- Implementing process modifications and conducting time and work sequence studies.
- Providing definitions and documentation for the assembly/machining processes.
- Maintaining stability in all the engine-related processes by establishing process FMEAs, developing and implementing process control plans, and optimizing individual workstations to maximize output.
- Guiding working groups in setting priorities, project plans, and due dates.
- Developing and maintaining new equipment project documentation, equipment FMEA standards, and Engineering operational standards.
What you will bring:
- Desired: Practical application of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools; Black Belt-certified
- B.S. Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or similar); (MS Degree in Engineering or MBA desired)
- 5 to 7 years of Automotive Remanufacturing Manufacturing Experience
- Proven problem-solving skills. Excellent technical, verbal, written, and presentation skills. Proven ability to work in a self-directed and team-based environment is preferred.
