Laborie Medical Technologies is currently searching for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in the Salt Lake City, UT office.


Position Overview:

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for assisting in the development, qualification, launch of new product and updates to existing medical devices into manufacturing. This individual will work closely with several departments to ensure efficient design transfer processes and thrives in cross-functional teams.


How you contribute:

  • Participate in PFMEA, Process Mapping, and Critical to Quality (CTQ) reviews.
  • Write testing protocols for process qualifications.
  • Work in compliance with QMS and other applicable standards
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, time study, and space requirements, soliciting observations from operators, and equipment layout.
  • Plan and execute line validation/qualification activities, including IQ, OQ, MSA, and PQ.
  • Create process documentation, including Work Instructions, Control Plans, and Job Safety Analysis sheets.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in process and equipment qualification for medical devices
  • 3+ years of experience as a Manufacturing/ Production Engineer, preferably in Medical Devices, and a bachelor's degree in engineering, or equivalent work experience
  • Electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical device manufacturing methods (adhesives, machining, molding, extrusion)
  • Experience in molding preferred
  • Experience balancing multiple projects and priorities
  • Software skills: CAD (SolidWorks), Mini-Tab preferred
  • Experience in process improvement
  • Experience in scripting and ladder logic programing preferred.
