Job Description
Sedron Technologies is hiring a talented Manufacturing Engineer
Sedron Technologies designs and manufactures advanced water, and waste upcycling technologies that transform the paradigm of Waste Processing to Resource Recovery. We are headquartered in the Pacific Northwest, with a national presence, valuing innovation and original thinking. Our team is focused on solving environmental problems around the world, with tremendous human and environmental impact.
Because we design, build, commission, and operate our technologies, we are looking for individuals who can meet the following essential functions of the position:
  • Comfortable coordinating with technicians, other engineers, and management to diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
  • Arrive to work on time and maintain good attendance
  • Work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines
  • Perform basic hand calculations relevant to the design task, including but not limited to stress analysis, machine design calculations, etc.
  • Participate in design, manufacturing, assembly, and commissioning support
  • Weldment tooling and fixturing
  • Very hands-on: enjoys doing mechanical repair and assembly
  • This position has multiple levels of competency to be determined by performance, certifications, and supervisor discretion.
  • Maintain good organization skills
  • Demonstrate passion and excitement for solving difficult yet exciting tasks
  • Assembly fixtures
  • Work directly with the customer and internal technical teams to ensure progress on all stages of project lifecycle
  • Be responsible for ensuring materials are organized and ready for manufacturing, including carrying out purchasing activities
  • Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors
  • Demonstrate the ability to work individually and within a multidisciplinary team, communicating and collaborating with technicians and engineers alike
  • New equipotent specifying, procurement, and installation

  • Learn new skills quickly and take complete ownership of assigned tasks
  • Comply with all safety, 5S, and HazMat practices
  • Highly intelligent and curious, ability to troubleshoot independently and dive into problems
  • Direct and/or participate in the design of custom tooling, fixtures, automated manufacturing equipment to support the manufacturing needs of the company. This includes everything from 3D CAD, drafting, engineering reviews, to work order preparation, and procurement
  • Biased for action, can complete tasks with urgency
  • Prioritize duties and responsibilities in order to fulfill objectives
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Education/Experience
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language
  • Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED
  • Willingness to travel to support site needs for a minimum of 6 weeks per year
  • Familiarity with steam tables, pump and fan curves, enthalpy changes in fluids, and basic materials and manufacturing is desired
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience with NX or equivalent CAD software
Additional Information
  • Level 1: $70,000-110,000
  • Discretionary bonus
  • The range provided is Sedron’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
  • Level 3: $82,000-135,000
  • Wage range for this role is between
  • Level 2: $75,000-122,000
