As our Manager, Global Sizing, Fit and Grading Standards, you will demonstrate expert knowledge of the product commercialization and garment grading process from start to finish. You will lead a team of Sizing, Fit and Grading experts to deliver industry-defining Apparel Fit. This role will focus on evolving size and fit, with a focus on grading standards for Nike Apparel. You will apply your advanced technical design and development knowledge related to product fit, sizing, and grading to provide leadership on large and complex apparel development projects. You’ll provide technical recommendations and support to the Technical Design, Technical Development, and Product Development communities with a focus on grading standards. This role will ensure grading standards creation, maintenance, implementation, training and governance.
Who We Are Looking For
The candidate needs to have a strong Product Creation, Technical Design background, be a strategic problem solver and have an analytical mind-set. This role requires a strong working knowledge of 2D and 3D tools and technologies. A strong understanding and practice of Garment Grading and Body Data Analysis is needed. Someone who is eager to embrace new processes, tools and technologies and be able to apply data for analysis and decision making. We’re looking for a strong collaborator, communicator and advocate. You will be a highly creative problem solver, versatile and forward thinking. We are looking for someone who is optimistic, self-aware, embraces change and holds themselves and their teams accountable.
What You Will Work On
You’ll partner across the business to implement and maintain sizing and grading tools, body standards for Apparel Product Creation. You’ll also partner cross-functionally to validate best practices and create libraries & tools in the support of size standards for apparel. This role will provide technical recommendations to create consistency of sizing and grading and to help achieve project concepts and global initiatives. You will also assist in training and mentoring teams on adoption of tools, creating solutions to support processes and invigorate cross-dimensional standardization.
Who You Will Work With
You will report to the Director of Global Apparel Fit, Sizing, & Grading Development Standards. This role has a strong partnership with Innovation and Category Product Creation teams to establish standards, develop processes and training content. You’ll provide technical recommendations and support to the Technical Design, Technical Development, and Product Development community and be at the forefront of adopting, adapting new tools and processes across the business.
What You Bring
  • Advanced knowledge of the apparel development process from inception through production, including but not limited to pattern making, grading, construction, costing, manufacturing, embroidery, materials and machinery
  • Embrace and lead change to implement new technologies and simplification
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time including International travel
  • Bachelor's degree in Apparel Design, Pattern Making, Textile Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to use Adobe Illustrator, CAD Apparel & Pattern Design software (Optitex/Browzwear/Clo 3D) highly desired
  • 8+ years professional experience in Technical Design, Product Development, Garment Grading, Global Manufacturing, or Product Integrity
  • Lead at all levels with diversity, authenticity, empowerment, and inspiration, where we all create an environment of belonging
  • Strong communication, influencing and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate across multiple audiences in a complex organizational structure
