The Vendor Manager provides account management, develops strong partner relationships, oversees communication, manages escalations, drives efficiencies, provides transparency, demands accountability and oversees the return on investment (ROI). This role defines, implements, and manages processes, manages overall billing, distributes meaningful metrics, develops best practice to on/off board resources, host regular meetings, and works closely with leaders from both teams to achieve goals.
Note - The postion is based in Secaucus, New Jersey. The opportunity does offer flexibilty to work from home.
- Work closely with Finance during month end close to carve out Capital/Opex
- Deliver ad-hoc data requests (Clarity, BeeLine,etc)
- Develop monthly engagement reports (metrics steering Committee reviews)
- Manage tool for MSP (Manage Service Provider- BeeLine)
- Ensure vendor compliance with policies, procedures, and contractual SLA’s/SLO’s
- Develop documentation and best practice to on/off board resources.
- Develop and maintain standard processes and documentation for outsource agreements.
- Develop meaningful resources units to manage costs (Managed Services)
- Supplier relationship management - provide day-to-day engagement, oversight, and resolve open issues.
- Liaison with MSP and Hiring manager (Broadleaf)
- Drive continuous improvement to maximize return on investment.
- Oversees monthly IT customer satisfaction surveys
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Resource and Tower Managers
- Develop and manage change request process.
- Ensure service delivery is optimized to meet the needs of the business.
- Vendor management support (invoices, purchase orders, allocations, etc.)
Required Work Experience:
- 5-10 years of related work experience.
- Capable of managing up and down an organization
- IT, Finance, Procurement, and Vendor Management experience
- Able to make quick decisions and hold teams accountable.
- Experience working in a large IT organization
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to diffuse and manage day to day escalations
- Team player
- Strong writing skills
- Strong skills in Microsoft desktop tools (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
- Demonstrated negotiation skills
- Strong leadership skills
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
