Job Description

Summary

Reporting to the Director of the South Carolina Telehealth Alliance (SCTA), the Manager of Telehealth Education is responsible for overseeing the strategy, design, development, and delivery of instructional materials to support the Center for Telehealth’s education initiatives, both internal to MUSC and statewide through the SCTA. This position plays a critical role in creating effective learning experiences that align with the statewide telehealth strategic plan and meet the needs of diverse telehealth stakeholders and learners. The Telehealth Education Manager collaborates with subject matter experts, SCTA partners and workgroups, and MUSC stakeholders to design, develop, and evaluate instructional content and methodologies.

Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, instructional technology or a related field, master’s degree preferred, and five years of progressively responsible work experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or a related role. Strong knowledge of instructional design theories, adult learning principles, and e-learning technologies. Proficiency in instructional design software and authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate). Project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and allocate resources effectively. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and learning technologies. Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in instructional design and e-learning.

Education: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Work Experience: 7 years progressive work experience and 2 years management experience
