Job Description

As a member of the Field Leadership Team, the Store Communications, Marketing and Events Manager is responsible for internal store communication, seasonal event planning and support as well as internal cross functional partnerships. This role will report to the Senior Manager of Store Communications and will be the eyes, ears, and voice of the organization for Bluemercury stores.

Detail oriented, self-motivated, efficient, and forward-looking, this candidate can work successfully, consolidating information and deadlines from multiple internal communications in a way that resonates with the field team(s). This candidate has a strong retail background and understands the importance of communicating organization priorities, concepts and key information in a way that is informative and engaging.

The Store Communications, Marketing and Events Manager serves as the point of contact for the Beauty Experts in Bluemercury stores. Retail Events are an important piece of the business as they generate publicity and revenue for Bluemercury stores. This candidate feels confident building out excel spreadsheets, analyzing sales, projecting volume, and constantly innovating for upcoming event season(s). Exceptional organizational and project managements skills are important, as well as being confident with verbal and written communication. Advanced knowledge and execution of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel is vital. A successful candidate possesses the ability to prioritize multiple, time sensitive projects simultaneously with extreme attention to detail.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Create content in alignment with Bluemercury’s identity standards and communication guidelines while ensuring consistency of messages across all internal communication channels.
  • Ensure the Field Team, from frontline Beauty Experts to Leaders are informed, compliant, engaged, and motivated.
  • Help bring to life integrated marketing campaigns in store by communicating in- store collateral, event support, and arming our team of Beauty Experts with key tools and resources to ensure flawless execution.
  • Partnership with Field Leadership to continuously evaluate and improve communication methods and store compliance.
  • Drive the by-door event strategy by developing National event calendars and coordinating large-scale events to drive overall sales volume.
  • Collaboration with internal partners to ensure key information is delivered and executed at the Store Level
  • Store Event management includes, but is not limited to, creating, and editing store events on a virtual platform.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in Microsoft SharePoint a plus
  • Experience with internal retail communications or a related field
  • Project management acumen to quickly work with various stakeholders and manage multiple internal contributors and the ability to cultivate strong relationships.
  • Exceptional oral and written communications skills
  • 5+ years of experience in a retail environment in a company-wide operational capacity
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with various levels in the organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Results-oriented and self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and ability to provide strategic planning direction and identify growth opportunities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Capable of independently managing multiple projects, timelines, priorities, and expectations concurrently
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree welcome.
