Become a member of our successful Global Run Marketing team based in Somerville, MA USA. We are currently looking for a Manager, Marketing for our Global Running Business Unit. The Manager, Marketing, will manage global running events, races and activations and support regional marketing managers with local races and activations. Up to 50% of the responsibility will focus on event marketing management. The Manager, Marketing will also assist the Team Head in building long range marketing plans and be a support for various adhoc requests across the Global Run Business Unit.


This candidate must have corporate marketing experience, knowledge of the marketing funnel and understanding of how to build omni-channel marketing plans, passion for sports and specifically running and proven ability in executing successful campaigns.


Your Mission


  • Create and update monthly run newsletter by staying up to date on running trends
  • Responsible for planning and ordering product for all races and activations
  • Partner with external run activation agencies and identify new activation partners
  • Create and execute communication of global running event results, KPI tracking and wrap up reports. 
  • Assist Team Head in building seasonal creative briefs
  • Help manage external agency relationships and serve as day-to-day contact.
  • Manage calendar of global and regional race plans with regional input
  • Partner with Senior Manager for general support of RUN PUMA activations which may include key initiative launches or guerrilla activities around key products/moments
  • Work cross-functionally with regional marketing, social, PR, Sports Marketing, and creative teams to effectively develop and manage events
  • Assist in management of the marketing budget
  • Support Senior Manager, Team Head and Head of with ad hoc requests
  • Develop and maintain race event guidelines/toolkit and oversee consistency of execution in local markets
  • Responsible for the management, implementation & activation of global running event and races

Your Talent


  • Excellent Written & verbal communication skills
  • Previous experience activating events is a bonus
  • Dependable and responsible with the ability to take initiative. 
  • Strong knowledge, authentic connection and passion for the sports marketplace within the running world, (i.e., former athlete or similar capacity) 
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft excel, power point and word are necessary 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field  
  • 2-4 years’ experience in Marketing role or proven related experience within an international environment 
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a global organization 
  • Previous brand marketing experience necessary – at an agency or in-house, previous corporate retail experience a plus 
  • Travel required up to 20% domestic/international 
  • Excellent quantitative and organization skills with ability to work independently to drive tasks for completion
