Job Description
Role + Responsibilities
  • Develop long-range initiatives for production control group, which include continuously evaluating the plant’s needs, capacities, capital, expenses, etc. to meet the growth goals.
  • Manage production control activities to reduce outages and incidents.
  • Recommend process improvements for high quality, cost effectiveness and excellent customer services.
  • Manage production planning and scheduling for on-time delivery.
  • Responsible for outside vendor processing to meet production schedules.
  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Supervise team members and accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, motivating and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Evaluate system performance and recommend improvements.
Qualification + Profile
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate and resolve practical problems and issues.
  • Ability to multi-task and efficiently plan, organize, and prioritize workload within department.
  • A bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or engineering related field, or equivalent years of experience.
  • Ability to successfully coordinate efforts of staff outside of individual’s span of authority.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with exemplary written and verbal communication.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes.
  • Results-oriented individual with ability to accomplish time sensitive goals set by management.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment.
  • Additional 5 years’ experience in a production management position a plus
  • Advanced Excel and Access database system and PowerPoint experience required.
  • 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must have a demonstrated skill and understanding of ERP systems, experience in Syteline ERP system a plus.
