The Manager, Manufacturing Engineering will lead Product Engineering team responsible for providing documentation to Manufacturing for all ETO products and responsible for maintenance of all standard product BOMs and routings. Lead manufacturing engineering team responsible for Capital planning and execution of capital improvements for both facilities and product improvements.
This position will serve our HTPG Division, located in Scottsboro, AL.
What You’ll Do

• Provides direct supervision over operations staff.
• Promoting ethics based Engineering culture and lead efforts to comply with EH&S rules and requirements.
• Drive cost improvement projects through both Product and Manufacturing Engineering groups.
• Provides performance feedback, coaching and mentoring.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Leads Product Engineering team for ETO products to meet production schedules, works closely with Sales and Application Engineering to assure customer requirements are met and appropriate pricing is quoted on ETO products.
• Develop Capital improvement plans including facilities and product improvements.

Job Qualifications
WHAT YOU NEED:

• Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite, Oracle or AS400.
• Managerial experience
• Experience in a high volume durable goods manufacturing environment.
• 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment specifically related to manufacturing engineering and continuous improvement within a manufacturing setting.
• Demonstrates ability to work well with others in a matrix team environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
• Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen Teams and standard work methodology.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience in Lean concepts and application.
• Independent thought, good judgment, problem solving skills, and ability to prioritize multiple projects a must.

• MBA or Masters in Engineering or related field
