THE OPPORTUNITY

Responsible for the execution and spend of all inbound shipments from farm/factory into Chipotle’s distribution network and managing all the associated supplier relationships. This position has oversight of cold-chain management, carrier performance, and is fiscal responsibility for freight. The Logistics Manager is expected to be an excellent cross-functional collaborator, with strong communication skills and able to empower and develop his/her team and the logistics function.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

In addition to following and supporting Chipotle’s policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

• Manage DC behavior pertaining to inbound economics and inventory management: order qty, safety stock adherence, po lead time, payload optimization, and other metrics as discovered and assigned.
• Work with 3PL and Sr Logistics Analyst to discover, define, and take action to capture opportunities to improve service and/or cost.
• Develop, implement, and refresh national distribution best practices, such as systems integration and optimization, inventory control/accuracy; implement systems that will encourage visibility to key Logistics KPI's
• Determine the requirements and design of supplier scorecards. Leverage to conduct business reviews and identify areas of opportunity/improvement
• Manage 3rd party logistics partner and inbound transportation team: cold chain enforcement, carrier sourcing, tendering strategy, premium freight. including business reviews, best practice sharing, and policy enforcement.
• Give specific direction to direct reports. Regularly participate in one on ones and 4x4 reviews to ensure that direct reports are on track to achieve their deliverables.
• Lead collaborative initiative with supply chain to create optimization of the demand cycle/systems; reduce finished goods inventory while optimizing material handling
• Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Review and update QIP and distribution guidelines annually.
• Lead the hiring and onboarding process for direct reports. Participate on other hiring teams as requested by the applicable hiring manager.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

• Six Sigma Belts, TMS, Oracle, Tableau experience preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, Supply Chain, or related field
• MBA preferred
• Prompt and concise communication. Responsive and supportive in stressful and complex scenarios. Creative and effective problem solver. Efficient and fiscally responsible
• 5-8 years of experience in Supply Chain or Logistics

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $110,000 to $151,000. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
