We are seeking a Manager of Employment Programs to work with our Lifespan Services team supporting and executing Autism Speaks Employment Programs, including Workplace Inclusion Now (WIN).


What is Workplace Inclusion Now (WIN)

Workplace Inclusion Now (WIN) brings together people (job seekers and employees with autism), employers, and communities to increase employment opportunities for autistic employees and create a more diverse and inclusive workforce. We do this by equipping employers to hire and retain autistic workers. In which people with autism and intellectual or brain differences can be successful and supported in pursuing their own employment goals.

In this role, the Manager of Employment Initiatives will support the Director of Employment Initiatives in the development of resources, tools, and information for autistic people, their families, and community. This role will further the knowledge base of best and evidence-based practices in employment nationally and globally and support the leadership position of Autism Speaks in this arena.


YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WOULD BE:

  • Represents Autism Speaks at local and state levels, as needed.
  • Continually monitor developments in employment services and supports, throughout the U.S. and globally.
  • Support Director, Employment Initiatives in growing employment services, including Workplace Inclusion Now (WIN).
  • Manage the implementation and operation of Workplace Inclusion Now (WIN).
  • Support implementation and continuous improvement of employment sourcing platform
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support comprehensive employment services and support for adolescents and adults.
  • Develop resources, information, and tools to empower autistic people in the workforce, with a special focus on varying support needs.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS REQUIREMENTS:

Experience:

  • Extensive knowledge of autism, employment services, service delivery (private and public funding) across all levels of support
  • Current or previous work providing support for autistic individuals in employment or transition.`
  • 5-7 years’ working with people with autism, including young adults and adults, their families, employers, and service providers.
  • Success with developing collaborative efforts across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Knowledge of providing universal design support for employers to create welcoming environments.


Specialized Skills and Knowledge

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of transition and employment services for adults with autism, service providers, and employers
  • Strong ability to research information.
  • Proficiency in Office 365, social media, and learning management systems.
  • Ability to present in front of large groups at meetings and conferences.
  • Detail oriented, highly organized, with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to travel 15-20%
