Summary
Assures that all plant machinery and equipment remains operable to ensure production and quality levels are met while maintaining a safe work environment.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct Shift Start meetings sharing information and plan for the day
  • Review completed PM’s, verify they are completed and sign-off
  • Maintain and Operate under a budget plan
  • Inspect Hot Work area and issue permit as needed
  • Works with Maintenance Planner to establish weekly plan and workflow
  • Provide daily task sheets to technicians with clear expectations
  • Twice a year perform safety audits for each shift Maintenance Technician ( LOTO, Tools inspection, Safety work practices)
  • Updates overtime sheet weekly
  • Conduct at least one team Safety Meeting weekly
  • Understanding, implementation, and leader of a safe, conducive work environment
  • Verify all time is entered correctly into Payroll System daily
  • Work closely with Production to ensure Quality is met daily
  • On shift setup repair priorities to support attainment of quality and production plan
  • Communicates effectively to Manager, Technicians, and fellow Supervisors issues/opportunities from shift
  • On shift coordinate effective Maintenance support by Electronic Technicians.
  • Write and Conduct evaluations as needed
  • Perform weekly tracking on spending
  • Review CMMS 1 hour before shift end ensuring all work order is entered and entered correctly
  • Determines most cost-effective means of performing repairs during breakdowns
  • Updates production and scheduling with current machine status and evaluates potential machine problems that support production
  • Establish 1 year training plan for your technicians
  • Verifies all KPI’s and Turnover Sheets are updated and communicated at end of shift
Knowledge And Skills
  • Technical/analytic skills
  • Effective written/oral communication
  • Good working knowledge of computer applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, CMMS)
Education and Experience
  • AA Degree preferred
  • 5-8 years related experience including good working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and welding equipment. Must have had an effective background in environmental safety and supervision
  • High School degree required
