In this role, the Maintenance Manager will supervise and coordinate activities of plant maintenance personnel. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the maintenance of all equipment, machinery and distribution equipment associated with plant production including the maintenance of buildings and grounds. This position is located in Garden City, NY and will report to the Plant Manager.


What you’ll do:

  • Responsible for scheduling the safe and efficient maintenance of plant equipment in accordance with ENGIE guidelines and equipment manufacturer’s recommendations
  • Responsible for procuring and coordinating the necessary service, material, and other support items to ensure that plant maintenance and performance commitments are met
  • Responsible for identifying and coordinating necessary training for supervised personnel to ensure that they are knowledgeable of their duties, equipment maintenance procedures, and plant safety practices
  • All other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager
  • Responsible for ensuring a plant preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance program is being carried out for all plant equipment in accordance with ENGIE and industry standards. Such program must be measurable with reporting being an essential aspect of the maintenance program
  • Leadership skills to reinforce a positive workplace culture and zero harm ambition

What you bring:

  • Dedicated to safety with a solid understanding of OSHA safe work practices
  • Ability to work overtime, occasionally including nights and weekends
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of power generation, steam and chilled water equipment and technology
  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment used in steam production and chilled water facilities
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Must have demonstrated technical ability in the operation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Familiarity with CMMS programs
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and take direction from others
  • Working knowledge of ASME Boiler and Power Piping codes and standards
  • A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience with a preference for those with previous experience supervising technical, maintenance, and/or operations personnel
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or technical certification and relevant experience in lieu of degree

  • Working Environment (Indoors – 90% Outdoors – 10%)

  • Salary Range: $90,610 - $223,210 USD annually
