Mail Carrier / Independent Contractor

Lonnon Express Inc. have been providing Contract Delivery Service for the United States Postal Service since 2009. We are currently seeking mail carrier applicants for our route in Winston, OR.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Driver's License (Required) Must have two full years of driving history, with a good driving record.
• Experience is a plus but is not required.
• Reliable vehicle. (see minimum vehicle requirements below)
• 18 years of age able to lift 70 lbs. and work in all weather conditions.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

USPS contract mail carriers deliver mail to homes and businesses in rural areas across the nation. Traveling on planned routes, delivering mail, parcels, obtaining signatures, and collecting outgoing mail along the way. Delivery occurs regardless of the weather, although schedules may be delayed

• Loading mail and parcels in delivery sequence into a delivery vehicle.
• Delivering mail to customer boxes along an assigned line-of-travel.
• Sorting mail in delivery sequence for active mailboxes
• Other administrative duties as required.
• Delivering mail to customer boxes along an assigned line-of-travel.

Schedule:

Work Schedule: Mon-Sat 6 days a week with Sundays and Holidays off
Hours: 7:30 AM until route is finished (8 hours 15 min /day depending on mail volume and carrier efficiency)

Pay: Up to 69,000.00 annually

MINIMUM VEHICLE AND INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS

Must have a qualifying vehicle that meets the criteria below which meets postal regulations and meets postal driving requirements.
One (1) Dependable vehicle providing 150 cubic feet of usable load space for mail and parcels, can be of any age so long as it is in good physical and mechanical condition. The vehicle required is equivalent to a Cargo van or passenger van. An all-wheel-drive or 4-wheel-drive is a plus but not required.
$100,000/$500,000/$100,000 or $600,000 (CSL) of liability insurance for contract vehicle.
We provide a fixed vehicle reimbursement rate to accommodate for personal vehicle use for mail delivery. The applicant is responsible for all the vehicle maintenance, fuel, and insurance costs for their vehicle.
