Machinist A Jobs

Candidate will be required to fabricate/machine parts from drawings, sketches, 3D CAD Models, and verbal instructions, using common Machine Shop equipment.

Equipment includes; 3 axis Trak DPM Bed mills, Hardinge manual and CNC (centroid) lathes. Manual and CNC Surface grinders, along with operation and possible training on CNC machining centers as needed.

• Ideal candidate would have experiences with Wire and Sinker EDM and Machining centers.

Materials include; Plastics, Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and other Ferrous and non-Ferrous alloys, holding tolerances of +/-0.0005” with tighter tolerances on occasion.

Candidate must be a motivated self-starter requiring minimal supervision and may be required to direct and train machinists with less experience.

Adherence to all shop safety rules, as well as maintaining a neat and clean work area is required.

This is a Union position and has a salary of $46.04/hour which is based on the role and responsibilities of the position.

Qualifications:

A minimum of five years of applicable experience as a machinist, or graduation from a two-year day technical school machinist course, or four-year vocational technical high school is required. Candidate should have a strong understanding of basic machine shop practices including ability to read blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD&T).
