• Night Shift

Purpose:
This position is responsible for contributing to all aspects of safety, quality, and production targets. Operator will follow all standard operating procedures and work instructions that are applicable to the machining area. The position requires the operator to help set up machine lines, maintain various pieces of equipment, and perform critical quality measurements and records. Operator is also responsible for building of important components that contribute to the quality of the machined billets (cutter head). Operator is also responsible for the loading of homogenized billets as well as performing final shipment prep of bundles.
General Duties:

• Follow direction from shift lead / foreman
• Machine Operator will be required to follow all standard operating procedures and work instructions related to casting operation
• Use crane to move racks, scrap billets
• Ensure that appropriate PPE is worn and that all required safety systems are in place based on their training and knowledge
• Assemble and disassemble cutter heads, changeover of equipment for the different alloys
• Perform critical quality checks using various tools and recording accurate data
• Monitor and document machining production specs on machining production sheet
• Use of forklift to move racks, dumpsters, puck bins, etc.
• Assist in startup and shutdown of machining operation
• Ensuring that area is kept clean thru out shift by following good 5S practice

• Able to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining all safety rules
• Quick learner
• Good communication skills
• Basic knowledge of computer (mostly printing sheets)
• Extremely high attention to detail
• Organizational skills is a must
• Able to work in an extremely hot environment
• Other duties as assigned
• Follows direction
• Self-Motivated

Requirements:

• Manufacturing experience a plus
• High school diploma or GED
