Wis-Pak, a nationally recognized leader in the manufacturing and distribution of Pepsi-Cola, Mountain Dew, Bubbl'r, Klarbrunn and other leading beverages, is currently accepting applications for full-time Machine Operators at its Dyersburg, Tennessee location.

The hours for this 3rd shift position are 10:00pm to 6:30am Monday through Thursday with the potential for overtime on Friday should production needs dictate.
Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Production Supervisor, the Machine Operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently setting up, operating, and monitoring production equipment including but not limited to, depalletizers, fillers, packers, palletizers, sanitation equipment.
Job Duties/Essential Functions
- Observe quality of product and remove any defective cans or bottles from the production line.
- Prepare all necessary documentation in the case of machine problems, product and raw material quality and any deviations in the product in a timely manner.
- Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures on machines and work area.
- Monitor filling equipment, flow mixture. Perform light maintenance work on machines as needed. Make necessary adjustments for flavor and closure changes.
- Comply with all plant and food safety, FSMA (HACCP), GMP, and sanitation regulations.
- Set-up and monitor machine to ensure manufacturing standards are met (correct fill heights, all containers have proper closure, etc…) and to prevent possible malfunctioning.
- At the end of the run, calculate and record all necessary information to determine production efficiency (i.e. the number of products produced, the number of defects).
- Maintain quality standards for all processes and functions within assigned duties.
- Perform all shut-down procedures according to specific guidelines.
- Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as needed.
- Keep machines supplied with the necessary raw materials and supplies.
Qualifications
- Ability to meet all other physical requirements of the position.
- Requires basic mathematical, computer, and English reading and writing skills.
- Frequently climb stairs, reach above shoulders, stand/walk for extended periods, bend and twist at waist and neck.
- Must be 18 years of age and have a high school equivalent education, preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and physical agility helpful.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
