Machine Learning Engineer (Contract)

We're currently on the lookout for an experienced Machine Learning Engineer who can apply innovative AI solutions to address business challenges in the Market Research and Retail industry.

The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Artificial Intelligence and the ability to design, develop and deploy AI solutions that address business problems in the Market Research and Retail space.

They must have a core and demonstrable competency in using Python for Computer Vision and NLP with an understanding of Hypothesis Testing and ML model explainability. Familiarity with MLOps concepts and best practices is a must.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure to support AI solutions
• Conduct experiments and analyses to evaluate hypotheses using the scientific method
• Develop, validate, fine-tune, diagnose and audit new and existing Machine Learning models and pipelines
• Develop scalable and efficient workflows and solutions for production environments
• Perform model inference in timely response to ad-hoc requests
• Create and maintain thorough technical documentation of the entire ML Lifecycle

Requirements:

• Familiarity with H2o’s Driverless AI and Steam not required, is a plus
• Competence in Containerization and ML Pipeline orchestration.
• Strong knowledge of Deep Learning frameworks and tools.
• Expertise in Machine and Statistical Learning techniques with an emphasis on Transfer and Reinforcement Learning.
• At least 5 years of experience using Statistics and Machine Learning to accomplish quantifiable goals.
• Command of Big Data tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of Digital Transformation concepts and workflows within Cloud ML environments like Vertex AI, SageMaker and Azure AI
• Familiarity developing ML with Fast AI.
• Able to thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Competence in using SQL for data transformation and retrieval.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.
• Demonstrable knowledge of Python code development, refactoring and automation within shell environments.
