About the position:
Under the direction of the LSC Accounting Manager, establishes and maintains fiscal control records accurately and efficiently to both internal and external parties.
Essential Functions:
Participates in the day-to-day operations of the accounting function by maintaining and reconciling a combination of general ledger accounting, assisting with budgets, tax filings, audit schedules, and contributing to the team effort of the agency, thereby ensuring quality care and services for clients and organizational assistance in helping with internal and external financial information requests.
Estimated starting hourly rate: $27-$53 DOE
Compensation: PPGNHAIK's compensation philosophy is based on equity and transparency. Starting offers are determined by both the candidate's directly applicable experience and internal equity within the pay grade. The pay range is $27 to $53, paid (annually Or hourly). Pay is also determined by geographic location.
Position is 95% remote (report to office once month)
Full-time 37.5 hours/week with benefits
What you’ll be doing
Monitors and records bank activity.
Sorts, codes and matches invoices and records invoices into the accounting system for payment.
Reviews and verifies invoices and checks requests.
Processes patient refund checks in QuickBooks
Maintains vendor files for required 1099 preparation and tax/audit substantiation
Works with the Purchasing Department to maintain inventory records
Reconciles monthly inventory counts with the general ledger.
Assists with month-end closing by updating schedules and posting general journal entries.
Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings.
Performs unclaimed property reporting to the State.
Provides supporting documentation for financial statement audit
Reconciles financial discrepancies of various balance sheet accounts by collecting and analyzing account information.
Assists with the annual budget process.
Maintains the day-to-day accounting and fiscal control records and procedures.
Adheres to internal policies and procedures and makes recommendations for organization operational improvement.
Assists with special projects on as needed basis.
Responds promptly and courteously to internal and external customer requests and inquiries.
Maintains internal customer confidence and protects operations by maintaining the highest level of confidentiality of client, staff, and financial information.
Maintains and seeks additional skill set by attending meetings and trainings as required.

Education:
BA/BS in related field preferred.
Required Experience:
3 to 5 years accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare or non-profit environment.
Preferred Skills:
Prior experience updating and creating Financial Policies and Procedures
Prior experience working for an organization with $10M+ in annual revenue
Experience with NetSuite Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or similar package
Experience with QuickBooks
