Pay: $31.00 per hour
Bonus (if applicable): $2,000.00 SIGN ON BONUS
H&W: $4.41 per hour This position is eligible to receive a Health & Welfare Benefit Rate per hour on all hours paid up to 40 hours per week and not to exceed 2,080 hours per year.

Role and Responsibilities
This position performs a variety of professional duties involved in the prevention and control of infectious disease. It plans, develops, implements and evaluates infection control activities throughout the facility including coordinating programs so they meet the contract and accreditation process.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Executes physician orders.
- Maintains compliance with industry and company policies for accreditation.
- Documents all detainee or inmate contacts. Maintains confidentiality of medical records
- Collaborates with Multidisciplinary Healthcare team members.
- Applies appropriate nursing skills in the care and treatment of inmates with infectious disease.
- Assists the Physician in exams and treatment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Documents and reports infectious diseases in monthly and quarterly reporting to the Health Administrator.
- Monitors patients with infectious disease.
- Develops reporting to the Public Health Department

Minimum Requirements
- Must possess competence in the performance of the following services: crisis intervention, medical emergencies, physical assessment, medical nursing care, and psychiatric nursing care.
- Two (2) years of direct work experience preferred.
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- May be required to possess valid state driver’s license.
- Must have the ability to work without direct, immediate supervision in performing nursing diagnosis, and be able provide appropriate follow through treatment.
- Must be mature, flexible, intellectually alert and able to command the respect and confidence of inmates and staff.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Must have a current, unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state the facility is located. Maintains a current copy of license on file at the facility at all times.
- Must be willing to undergo a rigorous background investigation as required by U.S. Marshals.
- Must be a United States citizen.
