Long-Term Internship - Software Engineering (Contract)

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Long-term Intern to join our Software Engineering team based in Atlanta, GA.
You will be part of a team helping our organization collect, store, coordinate, and derive insights from the data that we produce. You will work to improve and automate our reporting tools, allowing senior management to easily derive insights into the health and trajectory of our business lines. You'll develop and iterate on tools that help our department supervise projects from contracting through training and deployment, uptime and usage, and invoicing.

Your Working Environment
The Airbus Digital Alliance is a partnership founded in 2019 with Delta Air Lines to develop predictive maintenance programs and additional performance solutions for mixed fleet operations. Find them in the historic Ponce City Market area.

Your Challenges

• Work with producers and consumers of data to discover ways to reduce workloads and gain efficiency for all parties.
• Iterate with multiple Airbus Americas business units to improve their reporting. Develop dashboards and charts that allow senior management to quickly gain insights and make decisions.
• Identify locations where data collection, transformation, reporting and dissemination can be automated. Use existing tools to build automation that supports these workflows.
• Develop organizational procedures that allow for easy data access across teams. Disseminate the procedure and gain support from multiple partners.

Your Boarding Pass

• Intermediate level coding in JavaScript and python, required.
• Experience in accessing data through APIs in a programmatic way, preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without current or future need for visa sponsorship.
• Curiosity about learning and instructing new technologies, required.
• Previous engaging classroom training experience preferred.
• General knowledge of relational databases, required.
• Graphic design experience, preferred.
• General knowledge of the elements of web design and networking, required.
• Must be currently located in the Atlanta Georgia metro area for duration of internship.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience (degree in progress accepted for interns)

This position is a temporary (contract) position with no specific time period but could be extended or shortened as needed. Contractors are employed by a 3rd party vendor and placed on assignment to Airbus in America.
