Description

The Logistics Service’s mission is to provide superior value through unyielding focus on safety, customer service and efficient utilization of resources to all businesses within Michigan Operations in Midland MI. The position will provide support for Dow's manufacturing operations through the packaging and distribution of Dow products. Candidates will rotate through a variety of packaging and warehousing responsibilities.

Also, you can be responsible for each of the following tasks:

• Affixing labels, stickers or booklets on packaged materials
• Preparing raw materials for operations
• Interacting with chemical processes
• Arranging, stacking, and repackaging all types of materials and products
• Focal point for material movement
• Safe operation of a fork lift or other heavy equipment
• Manually breaking-down pallets of material and products
• Packaging products for our global customers

Required Qualifications

• Must have a current, valid US driver’s license
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
• Successfully complete a background check and pass a drug screen if job offer is received and accepted
• Willing and able to work all applicable shifts on a rotating basis (including weekends) and work overtime when needed
• Must be 18 years old or older
• A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

The physical abilities, with or without reasonable accommodations, include being able to:

• Essential functions of this position may require, among other things, that the employee use particular types of equipment -- such as on-site safety equipment that has specific weight limitations whereby the individual’s own weight, plus the weight of tools and other items and materials, must not exceed a certain threshold. (For example, some types of safety equipment may be rated for a maximum weight limit of 300 pounds total.) • Wear all required personal protective equipment provided by the company, including but not limited to a respirator.

Your preferred qualifications include:

• The Logistics Fast Start certificate obtained from Delta College
• Able to demonstrate basic computer skills example: Word, Excel, SAP, Outlook
• Military experience
• 2 or more years of Manufacturing or relevant experience

• The ability to work a full shift, come to work on time, work overtime and holidays as needed and the ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation is an essential function of this position.
