Description & Responsibilities


The Logistics Specialist (LS) is tasked with packing, crating and shipping UAM inventory, worldwide. The LS also:


  • Familiarity with UAM’s Quality Control Manual and all related policies and procedures and makes incremental improvements that increase efficiency
  • Accountable for the safety and accuracy of UAM outgoing shipments worldwide
  • Monitors and achieves logistics metrics (KPI) set by warehouse management
  • Coordinates the delivery of components and related assemblies to UAM customers
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Abides by the posted AOG (Aircraft On Ground) schedule, and maintains availability during AOG period
  • Performs receiving and shipping audits/cycle counts, as requested by management
  • Ensure accurate and concise documentation for receiving and shipping
  • Creates a manifest for components to be received or shipped for 3rd Party customers
  • Administers and abides by UAM’s logistics program in accordance with relevant regulations
  • Responsible for the packing and unpacking of unit(s) for receiving and shipping
  • Utilizes shipping software, i.e. FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, etc., to optimize shipping and transport procedures
  • Verify items to be received into inventory; both physical and remote receiving
  • Communicates effectively with other UAM departments, as needed
  • Receives into inventory Repair Orders, RMAs, and UAM Purchase Orders, and enters Air Waybills into receiving log when delivered

Qualifications & Experience:


  • Have the ability to analyze data, search for errors and autonomously work towards solutions
  • Computer skills are a plus, especially the Microsoft Office Suite, with attention to detail
  • Work well against critical deadlines with the ability to multi-task
  • Be goal-oriented, persuasive, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Aviation experience is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Warehouse & Inventory experience is a plus
