Logistics Manager - Third-Party / 3Pl - Onsite!

Based in Orrville, OH we are a local leader in third-party logistics. We are looking for an experienced Logistics Manager with a demonstrated history of success in the transportation / 3PL industry. The ideal candidate should be an excellent communicator and team leader with extensive experience in logistics management. This position requires at least 3-5 years of experience and offers an annual salary of $65,000 - $75,000 + contribution margin goals / payouts.

What You Will Be Doing

• Effectively answer employee and/or customer opportunities for improvement.
• Perform Customer Relationship Management activities with customer accounts, along with client/carrier pricing negotiation process tasks.
• Assist operations personnel in routing complex shipments.
• Provide daily management of customer account teams, providing direction and leadership.
• Provide reports to customers and supervisors.
• Maintain a high level of customer service to internal and external customers.
• Recommend changes in operational methods and procedures of company goals.
• Create, review and monitor critical logistics data and metrics; determine initiatives and corrective action if metrics are not meeting objectives.

What You Need for this Position
3-5+ years of experience in the following:

• Manufacturing Companies / Customers
• Shipping
• Leadership: managing team of 7-12
• Suppliers / Carriers
• Supply Chain Management
• BS Degree preferred
• Automotive / Food / Aerospace customers
• 3PL - third-party logistics
• Critical logistics data and metrics
• Solution Solving
• Client/carrier pricing negotiation
