Job Title: Logistics Coordinator (Contract)
Job Location: New Bedford, MA
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Logistics Coordinator
for an Offshore Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with the project
team and coordinating various aspects of the project including logistics, personnel, and
equipment. The Logistics Coordinator will be based onshore and work closely with the Project
Team to ensure successful project execution.
Primary Job Functions:
• Act as the primary point of contact for the offshore team and maintain regular
communication with the offshore team, ensuring that any issues are promptly
addressed and resolved
• Coordinate and schedule crew changes, transportation, and logistics for offshore
personnel
• Manage and track inventory of equipment and materials for the project
• Organize and maintain project documentation, including permits, licenses, and
certificates
• Maintain awareness of project progress and update the Project team accordingly
• Provide support to the offshore team by coordinating the delivery of supplies,
equipment, and materials as needed
• Prepare shipping and customs documentation in compliance with regulatory
requirements.
• Maintain and update logistics databases and systems to ensure accurate tracking of all
material and personnel movement.
• Continuously monitor and improve logistics processes to increase efficiency and reduce
costs.
• Maintain effective relationships with clients, vendors, and suppliers to ensure project
success
• Implement and adhere to safety and environmental policies and procedures
• Assist the Project team with any other duties as required
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid TWIC
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in offshore project coordination or logistics
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with a diverse range
of stakeholders
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Knowledge of offshore safety and environmental policies and procedures
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and independently as needed
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed
Physical Demands:
The Logistics Coordinator may be required to stand or sit for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds. The position may require work outside of normal business hours and may involve travel to remote locations. The Logistics Coordinator will also be required to work in a variety of weather conditions.
