Job Description
Precise Systems is a professional services company currently working for the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, and U.S. Air Force. We understand and provide expert consultation on network and weapons systems acquisition programs, maintenance/modernization programs, and sustainment programs.
Precise Systems, Inc. seeks a Logistician to support our NUWC Newport customers.
Duties
  • Research and review acquisition data, update as appropriate in applicable acquisition databases, and provide required documentation and reports to NUWC Code 45
  • Assist with financial review of procurement requests, soliciting quotes, and working to ensure all required information is in place for purchasing
  • Monitor daily reported receivables at Naval Sea Logistic Center (NSLC) centralized stock utilizing Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) information system
  • Generate all required documentation to maintain material flow, as required
  • Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, to all levels of the customer organization
  • Reach out to the customer with any issues with material. Interface with Government technical project managers, as directed, to ensure support provided meets or exceeds all work performance objectives and standards
  • Assist with procurement resource planning to ensure lead-time of material coincide with current supply support demand, and ensure that accepted funding aligns with appropriate tasking and procurements per Purchase Request (PR) Form
  • Initiate PR Forms, Monitor PR Approval chain continually to mitigate cancellation and proactively participate in alternate means of procurement as required
  • Interface with Government technical project managers, as directed, to ensure support provided meets or exceeds all work performance objectives and standards
  • Communicate with vendors, customers, team members, and managers to align acquisition goals
  • Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures, meet deadlines, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Check status of MILSTRIP orders in OneTouch, find out expected delivery date, if order has been canceled and why. Fix issue so order can go through
  • Goal-oriented and have a strong work ethic
  • Maintain weekly/monthly/quarterly expenditure status of Tomahawk Procurement Tracker
Required Skills
  • 0-3 years of experience in programmatic support
  • Experience with the MS Office suite of software, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access
  • Effective written and oral communication skills are essential in this team orientated-customer service position
Required Education
  • High School Diploma or GED
