Loader Operator/Expeditor/Tow Truck Driver

Rotation: 3x3

Purpose of Position:

Operate a front-end loader in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures. Attend all required training and perform work in the field under adverse arctic conditions in remote locations. Expedite non-mobile equipment and material as needed in the Greater Prudhoe Bay area. Operate tow truck to move vehicles as needed.

Educational Requirements:

-High school graduate or GED equivalent.

Experience and Background:

-Experience with front end loader operations and maintenance required

-Experience with tow truck operation preferred

-Experience using forks on a loader to load and off load pallets, pipe and other miscellaneous equipment is required

-Experience using a loader for snow removal including using the following attachments preferred:

• Rake
• Bucket
• Snow plow
• Drag

Requirements:

-Basic mechanical understanding of front-end loaders

-CDL

-Team player with good customer service, communication skills and very safe work ethics.

-Must be able to read and interpret instructions and manuals.

-Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (oral and written), able to follow instructions and adhere to company policies and procedures.

-North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) Card preferred, not required.

-Driver’s License that meets ICE Services insurance criteria.

-Ability to adhere to strict policy and procedures per company and OSHA requirements.

-Must pass a pre-hire drug test, breath-alcohol test, occupational fitness test, background check and computer-based testing.

-Pass a motor vehicle report and possess an acceptable safe driving record.

-Be at least 18 years of age.

-Assist in other work areas/tasks as required.

-Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds on regular basis, routine walking, standing, bending. There is a lack of immediate access to critical medical services as well as urban community services.

Essential Functions:

-Operate front end loaders to move construction supplies, pipe and other materials.

-Operate front end loader to perform snow removal operations

-Inspect equipment prior to operations.

-Monitor equipment operation and identify malfunctions.

-Clean, store, and maintain equipment as required.

-Expeditor non-mobile equipment and material as required

-Perform other duties as assigned.

-Operate a tow truck to transport inoperable vehicles to warm storage. Troubleshoot these vehicles while in warm storage to discover reason why they will not operate. Perform minor mechanic work such as jumpstarting vehicles, replace batteries or alternators. Transport vehicles needing more detailed repair to repair shop.
