Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Loader Operator for our Romeoville Quarry facility located in Romeoville, IL.

What You'll Get To Do
The Loader Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment safely and appropriately. The Loader Operator must also maintain all equipment as directed per policies, procedures, and operator manuals.
- May haul cement and/or additives from the storage area in bulk or bags.
- Participate in making sure the quality and quantity of raw materials meet established standards.
- Adhere to all Heidelberg Materials and OSHA rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds.
- Responsible for the operation of a front-end loader to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage areas, feed conveyors, hoppers, and load trucks or railcars.
- Perform routine maintenance on loaders, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
- Ensure assigned established performance indicators are met.
- Follow established environmental procedures to ensure that the plant for which he/she is working complies with state, federal, and local regulations and requirements.
- Work with the plant manager, batch person, and other personnel to resolve problems, provide immediate feedback, and may recommend solutions to improve performance.
- Work toward the improvement of the assigned plant and surrounding area.
- Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Participate in ongoing minor maintenance and visual evaluations of plant and equipment.
- Meet or exceed company safety standards.
- Verify the amount of aggregate in storage bins and fill hoppers to ensure adequate quantity and quality of raw materials are maintained.
What We Are Looking For
- High school diploma preferred
- Be able to read, write, and speak English
- Bilingual a plus
