Skyworks Solutions is seeking a Senior Low Noise Amplifier and Switch (LNA/SW) designer for its Diversified Analog Solutions business unit at its location in Andover, Massachussets. This candidate will join a diverse team of RFIC, Analog IC and Module designers assisting in the concept, design, integration, and delivery of complex multichip, multi-technology RFIC-based wireless module solutions for Wi-Fi applications.

Skyworks is a world class, vertically integrated company with manufacturing capabilities in RF semiconductors, acoustic filters, packaging, and test. The candidate will be involved in all aspects of product realization and work with an extended cross-site team to validate and deliver high-performance RF products from concept to high volume markets.
Job Requirements
  • Familiarity with a modern scripting or coding language is a plus
  • Experience with RF testing with an ability to supervise characterization and debugging of designs using RF test equipment
  • Understanding and experience with different semiconductor technologies (Si, GaAs, SiGe, SOI, GaN)
  • 5 years of industry or combination with equivalent post-graduate academic experience (Master’s, or Ph.D.)
  • Expertise with the Cadence design environment including schematic capture, layout, and associated simulation engines and data displays
  • Experience with EM simulators such as Momentum, HFSS, and EMX
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics or equivalent degree
  • Understanding of different circuit blocks in RF front ends (PA, LNA, SW)
  • Strong EM knowledge with including experience with passive components including couplers, baluns, and matching networks.
  • Expertise with the design of LNAs in various semiconductor technologies including understanding of design trade-offs for noise figure, IIP3, current consumption, transistor sizing etc…
  • Familiarity or experience with Wi-Fi and associated standards is a plus

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $85,900 - $164,600 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others.
