Job Description

Weekend Days, 6:30pm-6:30am, Saturday and Sunday

  • Ability to encourage a proper professional attitude among the members of the nursing staff.
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to prepare accurate and detailed records and reports.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of modern nursing techniques, routines and methods as applied to skilled care and of state and federal resident care regulations.
  • Ability to supervise the proper care and custody of residents and to see that the orders of physicians care are carried out.
  • Ability to supervise assigned personnel.

Provides professional nursing skills in the care and general welfare of patients in accordance with accepted nursing and medical standards. The primary purpose is to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility. Such supervision must be accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the facility, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing, to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
