Librarian I - Early Literacy

Summary
The Town of Southern Pines needs a creative, energetic, motivated, and innovative early literacy librarian to join our dynamic team. Early literacy is a key strategic objective for Southern Pines Public Library, so this person will fill an essential role on the Library team, connecting with and enhancing the lives of young children, parents, and caregivers.
We need someone with experience in early childhood education - ages birth to five - as well as an understanding of libraries and librarianship, who can help make a meaningful impact in a thriving community.

Please note that the minimum pay range shown is just that - a minimum. We look at every candidate individually and will make sure that your starting pay offer will be competitive based on the experience, knowledge, skills and abilities YOU bring to the table. In addition to base pay, we also offer an additional $100 per paycheck ($2,600/year) as a discretionary income supplement. You will also be eligible for an additional 2% increase upon successful completion of a 6-month probation period.
