Job Description
Position Overview
After a client retains the Firm, our Claims Verification Specialists initiate a secondary intake process. Here, you'll actively engage with the client to swiftly collect vital documentation and information. This step is vital for a thorough claim evaluation and its subsequent assignment to the appropriate internal team.
Essential Functions: In this role, you will:
  • Respond professionally to calls and inquiries from clients, claims adjusters, providers, and other stakeholders.
  • Follow up diligently on outstanding documents and escalate when necessary.
  • Analyze files and provide recommendations to the Claims Verification Manager, drawing on relevant materials and legal considerations.
  • Organize and manage pre-suit materials, including emails, treatment records, and insurance documents.
  • Communicate effectively with clients through various channels, ensuring clear and timely exchange of information.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in firm tracking databases and spreadsheets.
Qualifications and Competencies: We're seeking candidates with:
  • Ethical professionalism in all interactions.
  • Accurate data entry abilities in Case Management Software.
  • Strong communication skills and a consultative approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with Michigan No Fault Law.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Adobe software.
  • Cultural awareness and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment: You'll be working in a professional office environment using standard office equipment.
Physical Demands: This role involves talking, listening, standing, walking, and using hands for various tasks.
Position Details
  • Full-time role, Monday to Friday.
  • Opportunity for remote or hybrid work after initial 90-day training period.
Required Education And Experience
  • Attorney or paralegal training/certification is a plus.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
