Edison47 is looking for a Leasing Agent in the Tacoma, WA area for a rewarding and fast-paced community consisting of 122 units. Our community holds regular events, outings, activities, and more. In addition to regular leasing duties, this position will assist the activities director as needed, help deliver meals from our on-site kitchen to residents, and more! Hours will typically be Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

The Leasing Agent would be responsible for leasing apartments in accordance with owners objectives. Responsible for operating and maintaining electronic records, leasing apartments, drafting and executing contracts, negotiating pricing, handling money, providing a quality living environment, establishing a positive, performing online and off-site marketing tasks and having a productive working relationship with the residents and staff. Additional tasks or duties that may be assigned as required to facilitate the efficient management of the property.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Performing unit inspections for skip checks or for maintenance needs
• Greet, tour and close sales with potential residents
• The collection of rent payments
• The ability to work weekends or holidays if required
• Walking vacant units to make sure they are rent ready
• A valid drivers license with reliable transportation and is able to travel if required
• Experience with computers, internet and Microsoft office software. Yardi experience is a plus
• Processing rental applications verifying income, credit and residency history
• Must maintain a neat, professional appearance
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Maintaining all daily paperwork such as marketing information and guest cards while entering in information into the computer system.
• Must be a team player, ability to multi-task, handle confrontational situations
• An active knowledge of Fair Housing laws
• Punctuality and great attendance are a must

High School diploma or equivalent is required.
