Summary

The afterschool program and summer care program are part of the Extended Care program of Whitefield Academy. We are looking for Christian employees to work in a Christian environment on regular basis to provide quality care for our students.

Duties

Work with the Extended Care Coordinator in all daily functions of the program including getting ready before the program starts and cleaning up at the end of the day.
Work in a classroom providing care of children, ensuring their health and safety, and directing all classroom activities. Providing a range of activities and following lesson plans.
Have positive, professional, and helpful interactions with the children and other staff members.
Multi-tasking is important and necessary.
Attend 15 hours of training after hours to keep state compliance. Must be able to put the training into practice in the classroom.
Understand the Afterschool care structure and goals for the program.
Complete all daily classroom paperwork and record keeping.
Participate in any required professional development activities.

Requirements

Ability to read, speak, and write English
HS diploma
Be able to stand on feet and work with children 90% of the time
Be able to walk up and down steps.
Be able to lift 35 pounds when needed.
Church attendance and be able to provide a testimony when prompted
