Job Description

The office of Senator John Kennedy is seeking an additional Law Clerk to work in his Washington, D.C. office for the upcoming Fall semester. Duties include assisting the Senator’s Judiciary team with constituent letter writing, legislative research, memo drafting, and preparation for upcoming committee hearings for the Senate Committee on the Judiciary. We are looking for a current law student that possess critical thinking skills, discretion, timeliness, strong analytical skills, interest in constitutional and administrative law, and is able to work in a fast paced environment. The position can between 20 and 40 hours a week based on the applicant’s current academic responsibilities. A modest stipend is supplied for Metro use and housing costs. Louisiana connections not required, but preferred. Class credit for the semester may also be available. We are flexible on start and end date.
