Laborer/Assistant Jobs

Laborer/Assistant are responsible for assisting the Superintendent and overseeing all aspects of projects. They ensure that their team is working efficiently and safely, they resolve any issues that may arise during the course of a project, and they make sure that everything gets done on time and to specification.
Laborer/Assistant must have strong work ethic. They also need to be able to communicate clearly with both their Superintendent and Trades so that everyone involved in a project understands what is expected of them.
We believe in the power of hard work and determination. Our team of carpenters are the backbone of our company, and we’re looking for an experienced carpenter foreman to lead them. The ideal candidate will have experience taking orders and executing them per the Super’s directive. He or she will be responsible for assisting the Superintendent with daily work tasks assigned to them.
Duties & Responsibilities

• Operating equipment such as Forklifts and Telehandlers
• Being trained to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Inspect completed installations and conduct repairs as necessary
• Assemble and fasten materials to make framework or props using nails, screws, staples, or adhesives
• Order and purchase supplies and materials as needed
• Daily Cleaning of site to ensure we maintain a clean work environment
• Shape or cut materials to specified measurements with hand and power tools
• Assist the Site Superintendent with daily task assigned to them

Be comfortable conversing with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and at all organizational levels. Be direct yet tactful and considerate of the audience. Speak with others using clear and professional language, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Maintain awareness of undesirable persons on premises. Clean professional appearance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
This role requires standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods through shift. Requires the ability to read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (i.e., small print, computer). Grasp, turn and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than 25 pounds without assistance.
