Lab Supervisor Ft - Variable Shift

The supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision of Core Laboratory operations and personnel management.

Coordinates quality control, regulatory compliance, proficiency testing and inventory for all laboratory departments.

Assures the accuracy and quality of laboratory testing as evidenced by review of patient reports, QC records, exception reports, QCCs, etc. Utilizes information to make corrections and suggestions for improvement.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree Preferred X Required

Master's degree X Preferred Required

Preferred: Advanced courses in Healthcare Administration.

Minimum Work Experience

Required - 4 years generalist or specialty.

Preferred - 2 years supervisory or increasing level of responsibility.

Required Skills

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Incumbent must also meet the departmental requirements of continuing education by attaining a minimum of 18 hours per year.
