Reports to: Production Manager
Department: Production Kitchen
Required Permits/Licensing/Registration: Marijuana Establishment Agent Card, Southern Nevada Health Card
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Supervisory Responsibilities: Kitchen Assistants
Work Status:
Full-Time

Position Summary:
The Kitchen Supervisor works as a member of the team under the direction and supervision of the Production Manager. They will supervise the kitchen assistants and work with the team to create infused edible products to meet production demands.

Essential Functions:

  • Supervise Kitchen Assistant’s and staff to meet production demands
  • Responsible for completing any work assigned to them during their scheduled shift, including, but not limited to:
  • Responsible for following all operational guidelines, verbal directives, training information and policies when performing duties.
  • Maintains processes that are appropriate for equipment and program requirements
  • Compliance with Health Department Regulations.
  • Comprehension and demonstration of "Good Manufacturing Processes"
  • Records information to correct issues or concerns
  • Inventory oversight and data entry management
  • Other Duties as Assigned
  • Working knowledge of weights and measures
  • Responsible for helping the Production Department meet the production demand quantity and quality in accordance with company mission, goals, and objectives.
  • Reviews training procedures and seeks continued education to ensure delivery on all job functions
  • Recording consumable supply use and working with Production Manager to place replenishment orders
  • Assuring compliance with local, state, and federal billing or licensing requirements
  • Conducts studies, identifies problems, recommends alternatives, and implements solutions selected by the management team.
  • Documentation and continued development of changing internal processes for Production department.
  • Experiments/manufacturing methods are documented for future reference
  • Follows all safety programs and protocols and provides updates as necessary
  • Adherence to Quality Control methods throughout execution of manufacturing processes
  • The Kitchen Supervisor will be responsible for his or her own station, ensuring that all items are appropriately sanitized and ready for use before and after each shift
  • Ensures all standards for processing edibles are followed
  • Detailed oriented mind set with focus on efficiency, quality and sanitation
  • Working knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation procedures
  • Assist with the creation/manufacturing of marijuana infused edible products
  • Continuously improves skills, knowledge base, and motivations to assist in creating an environment where the entire team does the same

Job Specifications:

  • Knowledge and adherence to the policies, procedures and goals of Deep Roots Harvest.
  • Ability to listen well and communicate effectively orally and in writing with various audiences,
  • Observe and maintain all safety procedures and protocols
  • Understanding of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives and standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees, management, customers, other governmental agencies, community members and the public.
  • Flexible work schedule required; to include covering a vacant shift and/or facility issues in emergency situations as needed.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner when communicating or interacting with all local community, state, or federal officials.
  • Ability to interpret, understand, and comply with complex statutes, ordinances, regulations, standards, and laws.
  • Ability to use standard office equipment, computer equipment and software including word processing, database management, spreadsheet applications and electronic mail.

  • Ability to use standard office equipment, computer equipment and software including word processing, database management, spreadsheet applications and electronic mail.
  • Ability to use initiative and independent judgment appropriately.
  • Must be proficient in Windows based software and point of sale applications.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, management, governmental agencies, community members and the general public.
  • Ability to listen well and communicate effectively orally and in writing with various audiences.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • Must pass any and all required background checks

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Previous commercial kitchen experience preferred
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered, including internal experience.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to tolerate dusty, strong smelling marijuana odors, and be able to tolerate exposure to the product.
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be exposed to foodborne allergens including, without limitation; dairy, coconut oil, and eggs
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: ?Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 40 pounds (100 pounds with assistance)
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, standing, sitting, bending, twisting and repetitive motions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 per year
