CLASS: Full-Time
REPORTS TO: Executive Chef, Sous Chef & Director of Sports Nutrition

Summary:

Under the direction of the executive chef, and Sous Chef, this position will assist with the operations of the kitchen. This individual is responsible for assisting with the preparation, execution, and cleanup of meals at the Sports Science Center (SSC). They will function as an effective team member to provide high quality meals for Milwaukee Bucks athletes and staff.

Needs to have flexible availability.

Responsibilities:
  • Execution of food service for breakfast, lunch, pregame, postgame meals at the direction of the Sous Chef, Team Executive Chef and Team Dietitian
  • Research and develop new recipes.
  • Receiving and putting away food orders
  • Product acquisition, such as vegetables, meats, fish, dry goods, and disposables
  • Quality control of food service production.
  • Restock of beverage cooler, coffee area, and snacks
  • Dish washing when necessary.
  • Assist with daily setup, breakdown, and cleanup of kitchen.
  • Following dietary guidelines set forth by Team Dietitian and Team Executive Chef to maximize player care.
  • Creating dishes for special events.
  • Must maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers, basketball operation personnel, coaches, and players.
  • Management of prep
  • Maintaining high standards in organization and cleanliness of food storage, dish washing, and prep areas.
Qualifications:
  • Familiar with industry best practices in safe handling of food.
  • Minimum 2 years of proven cooking experience as a line cook and 1 year as kitchen supervisor.
  • Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Use of Microsoft word, excel programs.
The yearly salary will be $43,000 with benefits.
