Kennel Assistant Jobs

The kennel technician is a compasionate and caring individual that is able to work with our patients and communicate to the doctors and technicians daily about the health of the patient. The kennel technician cares for pets in the animal hospital facilities. Feeds and waters animals according to schedules. Controls and restrains animals as required. Cleans, changes, and disinfects cages, pens, yards; sanitizes animal rooms, hallways, and ancillary equipment. Transfers animals between quarters. Exercises animals. Other duties include but not limited to, stocking rooms, running errands, doing laundry, taking care of the large animal area and cleaning the hospital as requested and assisting the technicians when needed. This individual must be able to report to the shift on time and as scheduled. No texting allowed when on duty with the animals. Must be willing to learn computer skills associated with our software and be motivated to step up to new challenges. The position allows for opportunities to learn about the animals and to advance within the hospital based on personal skills.
