Job Description

Our team consists of veteran educators who are passionate about creating quality programs that empower learners, support teachers and accelerate achievement.


Role

We are looking for experienced, dynamic, and tech-savvy science educators with proven K-8 curriculum writing experience. These individuals will work collaboratively with a team of content writers to create high-quality products for our e-learning and printed materials. We are seeking individuals who have elementary and/or middle school science teaching experience and have preferably served as a department or district leader in this content area. This role is fully remote.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate virtually with others to develop, maintain, and revise curriculum/assessment documents and resources based on feedback, systematic review, and data analysis
  • Create and develop science curriculum and assessments with strict adherence to company style and voice guidelines
  • Seek out and apply new learning in research, emerging trends, instructional strategies/materials, current technology, and company initiatives to improve curriculum and assessment
  • Proofread and revise content for clarity and accuracy


Skills Needed

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace
  • In-depth understanding of K-8 Texas Science standards
  • Understanding of the components in the Framework for K-12 Science Education
  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills
  • Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week
  • Experience teaching science (5+ years)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work on multiple projects while meeting required deadlines
  • Prior curriculum writing experience (3+ years)
  • Attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
