Job Summary
Works with Video team to capture video content for university marketing needs, and to edit various marketing and promotional materials. A key player in brainstorming, ideating, and concepting for projects. Assists on set in various film set roles such as camera operation, lighting, audio, and more.
Responsibilities
1. Captures high-quality cinematic video footage to be used for university marketing purposes
2. Sets up lights, cameras, audio, and all other equipment needed on set
3. Edits with various NLE editing software and follows proper editing pipeline workflows
4. Helps to organize, maintain, and update all videography equipment
5. Safely and properly ingests media to ensure it is backed-up and organized per project
6. Takes a project from ideation to filming to editing
7. Pitches concepts to campus partners and can effectively explain complex ideas and video concepts so that campus partners can visualize the final video
8. Creates shot lists, storyboards, and mood-boards to visualize projects
9. Works with the team to fill in various roles on set as needed
Required Qualifications
Required Experience
One (1) year of related work experience in videography and video editing or equivalent experience

Experience working in higher education
Demo Reel, website, or portfolio showcasing videography and editing skills
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
ABILITIES
Able to work as part of a team on set or independently on an edit as needed
Ability to pitch video concepts effectively and clearly to campus partners, and to take a project from ideation all the way through post-production
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines
KNOWLEDGE
Strong interest and knowledge of current videography and film equipment on the market to assist the team with gear purchasing recommendations
SKILLS
Proficient with Adobe CC apps such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder, and Audition
Skilled with DaVinci Resolve Studio and color grading principles
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
