Junior System Administrator (Secret Clearance)

What You’ll Get to Do:

Under direct supervision, the system administrator is responsible for assisting the security team with the administration and support of information systems and security procedures for customer systems and networks supporting multiple programs.

More About the Role:

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problem.
  • Maintain data files and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity.
  • Installs/loads operating system, new firmware and software releases, systems upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems.
  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.
  • Basic network device configuration and implementation understanding.
  • Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for client/server/backup storage/network devices.
  • Installs, configures, and updates antivirus engines and malware protection signatures.
  • Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
  • Provide support to the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
  • Isolate and resolve hardware, firmware, and software problems involving the applications, the operating system, the hardware, and the communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof.


You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Experience following Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Typically has a bachelor’s degree or associate/Vocational/Technical education or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ Years experience with Windows Operating Systems.
  • Experience with change and configuration management practices.
  • Position requires a Secret clearance.
  • Experience with troubleshooting.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Ability to work both independently and with a team to solve problems.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills.
  • Basic Windows OS experience.
  • Initiative to quickly learn and put new skills to use..
  • Security+ (or obtainable within 6 months of hiring date).
